Ominous, they dwell in the depths of the ocean & hide darkness, but when they emerge, they do so with stunning grace & elegant slow motion, gliding, twisting, and furling through the water.	Sea Lion I have always been fascinated by sea lions, and relished watching the elegantly glide through the water, only to pop up on a rock & loudly demand attention. I drew this to capture the color, beauty, and elegance of their personalities.

These beautiful predators of the deep are kings of the ocean and are the fascination of many of those on land. I chose to bring the viewer's the through the drawing fluidly by concentrating on and developing different areas of each figure as I moved around it. I love the contract of the quick, imperfect sketching and the higher contrast, more developed realism in this piece. Even though it still has structure & composition, it exemplifies the creativity, emotion, & spontaneity I was going for. Abstract Watercolor Landscape Abstract Watercolor landscape, painted expressively while sitting alone in a field in Nebraska right after the sun went down. This was painted in silent twilight with the promise of the approaching night.	Letter Abstraction $35 \| $15 print \| graphite pencil \| 12x12in I drew this abstract drawing back in college, and created the concept by abstracting and repeating the capital letter B until I landed on an abstract composition I found appealing. I painted this after biking on a trail in the midwest with a big open sky full of sunset. I let the watercolor dance across the paper and try to capture the beauty of the moment.

I wanted to find an interesting composition of the bottles and bones, playing up the shadows, lighting, and reflections throughout.
